Benedetto
Luca is an Industrial Engineer and MBA graduate following a PhD course on " Life cycle and supply chain Analysis with stress on Waste to Energy issues". He started his work in September 2007

Research area:

Life cycle assessment (LCA) is a well developed set of ideas, tools, software packages and applications, many of which have been in the energy field. There is however a clear deficiency with LCA approaches arising from uncertainty, lack of appropriate data, commercial confidentiality, changing processes and numerous ‘valuation’ problems. The innovation, which is now required, is to complement LCA with a more explicit social and environmental oriented analysis of impacts, inputs and outputs. New approaches to evaluation and assessment, such as Particular graphical representations designed to provide a single indicator will be developed.

Experience

Luca’s background is in the corporate world. After having graduated from the University of Rome, he has held different positions of increasing responsibility in IT departments of various multinational corporations. He is currently Manager IS, Product Life Cycle Solutions, Worldwide, for an automotive company. He lived in the US, Italy, Denmark, UK and Hungary.
