Peng Yen LIEW

PhD

Dr. Liew Peng Yen graduated PhD Process System Engineering Centre (PROSPECT) of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). He is specialised in industrial energy conservation using systematic approaches. He has published 13 indexed articles in international refereed journal (5) and proceedings (8) on his research work, which include one plenary and two keynote lectures in international conferences. Liew also involved in providing the professional services to multinational companies, such as Shell (Malaysia) and MOL (Hungary).

Besides his research works, Liew serves as reviewer for several international refereed journal and international conferences. He is also the Scientific Secretary for 17th Conference on Process Integration, Modelling and Optimisation for Energy Saving and Pollution Reduction (PRES 2014) and the 24thEuropean Symposium on Computer Aided Process Engineering (ESCAPE 2014) and edited the proceedings for both conferences. He has also been invited as the guest editor for a Special Issue in Computers and Chemical Engineering Journal.

Liew has been involved in product development and commercialisation activities. He is the main contributor for developing the Optimal Site © software, which won gold award and jury award in exhibition.
